Water Element Wardrobe
Now that you have some ways of accessing the Water element through activities, letâs take a look at how to add the Water element to your wardrobe. Those dominant in the Water element are easy to spot by their style of clothing. Their clothes will have a flowy style rather than a tailored fit, with black being their color of choice. Youâll notice that creatives often wear black. This is their inner Water element expressing itself from the inside out. On days youâre feeling more introspective, you might find yourself drawn to wearing black. Iâve noticed that I tend to wear a black shirt on Mondays. I think itâs my way of not wanting to jump into the work week quite yet. As the week goes on, my palette brightens up a bit as I get an extra pep in my step.
If you feel too watery, then leave the black clothes in your closet for a while and opt for some color. You can see the benefits of connecting with your creativity in the Water phase, but too much of a good thing is, well, too much. Once youâve drenched yourself in ideas, itâs time to put them to use in the Wood phase.
If your missing element is the Water element, then your goal is to give yourself more time and space for the intangibles of life without worrying about output. That means letting go of control, letting go of things, and letting go of anything that has blocked you from your connection with source energy. From here, you can align with your purpose and your passion. When you have that, you can plant the right seeds and grow anything from there in the Wood phase. Use the following worksheet to journal your reflections on the Water element and how to incorporate more (or less) Water into your everyday.
